To our wonderful patient families,
We miss your children and their smiling faces! We hope this message finds you and your family in good health during these difficult times. As many of our team have children of their own, we too recognize the unprecedented impact COVID-19 has had on our children’s lives. We empathize with the changes and uncertainty they have faced – whether it be the day to day activities often taken for granted, like a trip to the park or a high-five from a friend at school, or a milestone like the prom or graduation. Like your family, our team has faced many challenges during the “stay at home” period and are looking forward to resuming our normal habits and routines.
While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your children’s dental health, safety, and overall well-being! We are currently gearing up to reopen in phases. In the initial phase, we will be focusing on those patients with emergent and urgent dental needs, such as those with existing treatment plans that had to be postponed or cancelled due to the crisis. During the first phase, it will also be necessary to see a reduced volume of patients daily, to comply with guidelines on physical distancing and infection control from state and national agencies. We anticipate our second phase beginning in early June, at which time we will resume our dental cleaning appointments. We will best utilize our office space to provide care using physical distancing which may involve your child being seen in a private room or the open bay for their dental cleaning.
As we return to the office and begin the process of contacting those patients who had their appointments cancelled due to the pandemic, we will need our phone lines available for our dental schedulers to be contacting our patients. Currently, we would like to ask you to defer calling the office regarding appointment scheduling. We will be reaching out to you about either your cancelled appointment or upcoming scheduled appointment. We appreciate your patience and understanding in this process. Feel free to reach us by email at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions or concerns.
You will be receiving a separate email with detailed information about our interim protocols and updated procedures for patient care during our reopening process.
Thank you all for your continued support of Cary Pediatric Dentistry. We value your trust and will always strive to continue delivering the very best care that you have grown accustomed to over the past 22 years. We have missed you guys and can’t wait to see you soon!

To our CPD Patient Family,
We hope this message finds you well and healthy. It wouldn't be earth shattering news for us to tell you COVID-19 has turned all of our lives upside down. From a personal standpoint, this pandemic has been a complete roller coaster for our children, our team and our spouses.
As the world we live in changes by the day there is ONE thing we would like your families to know; our core value is doing what is right by our patients, our staff and our community. We are working hard, in spite of everything going on, to ensure that we understand and are up to speed on this virus and how it will impact our care.
"SAFETY FIRST, SAFETY ALWAYS" is our priority theme to you, your children and our team! Currently, we are developing sound strategies to determine a re-opening date in the near future. We know some dental offices have recently opened. Dr. Elliott and Dr. Molina both feel strongly that waiting a little longer will allow us to learn from our colleagues what is working and as important, what could be improved. Also vital is the assurance we will have the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to function daily and on an ongoing basis. As you have read, all PPE supply chains were directing these necessary supplies to our medical healthcare providers, so it will take time for the dental supply chain to restock. Dental supply companies are experiencing the same bottleneck. We must ensure we have the right amount of the appropriate equipment before opening our doors.
Dr. Elliott and Dr. Molina are part of several collaborative professional groups, receiving email updates from the North Carolina Board of Dentistry, the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association, OSHA and the CDC. We have attended countless webinars and Zoom meetings in addition to reading emerging medical and business studies. Every change we make at CPD will be based in sound science and the most reputable data we have available to us. In spite of the obvious economic consequences of being closed, I assure you that your safety, our safety and the safety of our community is our number one priority as we lead Cary Pediatric Dentistry to the other side of this. As we continue to examine credible sources to return to some semblance of normalcy, we promise we are putting in the work to understand how this will affect our office policies.
All of the above said, this pause has brought us joy and hope as well as gratitude for the amazing community around us. We ask you to join us in looking for the silver linings and to continue supporting Cary Pediatric Dentistry and sharing our messages so that we can be there for your family. We have worked for over two decades to provide the best in pediatric oral healthcare and intend to do so for decades to come.
As you tuck your children in, please remember how important it is to keep up with brushing and flossing. We will post updates on our Facebook page as well as our office website as we get closer to our re-opening plans!
We made you a short video letting you know how much we miss you guys!
We hope to see you all soon!
In good health,
Dr. Elliott and Dr. Molina

To our CPD Family,
We are reaching out to update you on the latest important messages from Cary Pediatric Dentistry regarding COVID-19. We want you to know that we are doing our best to navigate and we are praying for your health and safety. Together, as a community, we are facing trying times and the current pandemic is affecting all of us.
As we have stated in prior communications, our office is not open for patient care at this time, but our doctors are available and on call to triage dental emergencies. Please keep in mind this temporary closure is based on recommendations by our state and professional guidelines to best to support the health and safety of our patients and our team and to flatten the curve.
Additionally, we would like to update you on important new guidelines issued by The American Dental Association as they pertain to what now constitutes a dental emergency that would require dental treatment during the pandemic.
The American Dental Association has issued a guideline that dental treatment that is non urgent or does not pose a threat to life should be postponed.
Examples of dental emergencies that are potentially life threatening and require immediate treatment are:
In this world of uncertainty, we appreciate your understanding as we do our best to fulfill our duty to you and your children. If your child is experiencing severe pain but does not fall into one of the above categories, please call us.
We hope at the very least that times like these remind us that we are all in this together. We as a team appreciate your small business support now and always. Further, we pray that Cary Pediatric Dentistry will be here for years to come to serve this amazing community.
We hope to see your healthy, happy faces soon! Please keep up with us on Facebook!
In good health,
Dr. Elliott, Dr. Molina and the CPD team

Courtney B. said about Vanessa – “She was wonderful when cleaning my daughter’s teeth – “drawing letters, etc.”
She had tons of tricks – my daughter didn’t even know she had anything done.”
